BRING Rethink Creates Way Finding for Partygoers

BRING has been at this a long time — building a culture of reuse and recycling in Lane County long before "sustainability" became a marketing buzzword. Their mission has always been about keeping good materials out of landfills and allowing them to be used in projects by the people that need them.

This year, BRING offered to help The Block Party with something we've wanted for a long time: real wayfinding. Their team is building custom street signs to help 15,000 people find their way to food, beverages, the info booth, and entertainment across ten blocks of Historic Downtown Springfield.

It's a small thing on paper and a big thing in practice. Anyone who's tried to navigate a crowd this size knows how much a clear sign pointing the right direction can matter.

What we appreciate most about BRING isn't just the signs — it's the years of investment behind them. BRING has spent decades building relationships, infrastructure, and trust across this community, and that kind of long-term commitment is exactly the model we hope to follow as The Block Party continues to grow into an even larger event. Showing up consistently, year after year, as the party grows and changes perfectly shows their commitment to the place we all call home.

We started Community Activation Network to bring people together in public spaces, no strings attached. Partners like BRING remind us what long-term community investment actually looks like.

One Magical Night, Many Years in the Making.
