Isn't this just a big free party?

Sure is. But we believe Springfield's Downtown Revitalization Celebration is just one part of the larger Community Activation that makes Springfield so welcoming to families, business and growth. We have more events, social support planning and community building on tap.

Are you really a nonprofit?

Yup. We took over the party in 2022 and started the charity in 2025. This city's overwhelming enthusiasm inspired us to take a big leap into real fundraising. In order to create a sustainable future for Lane County's largest free festival, we need donations from individuals, businesses and foundations.

Don't you work for the City? Aren't you a Chamber of Commerce employee?

No. We're flattered you might think so. Both the City of Springfield and our local area Chamber of Commerce participate in our events, but each year we need to raise 100% of the funding we need to pay for the party, all by ourselves, with your help.

How much does a party cost?

More than you'd think. We're committed to keeping this party FREE for Springfield and hosting a safe, 15K person gathering costs a lot.

Your contributions are tax-deductible and go directly to support Community Building in Lane County.

While SELCO is our Title Sponsor, their generous donation funds a small portion of our event. We receive no direct cash support from your taxes.

Where can we give to support The Block Party?

Businesses can provide sustaining support at this link.

Individuals can make a one time contribution or sign-up for a monthly sustaining membership at this link.

Watching the community come together. Everyone was there to enjoy, eat, drink, be merry. ... It’s a breath to escape that (politics) with our community to focus on family and fun.

We had so many community members share stories with us about how they have interacted with or been supported by CASA.
