Legendary, local photographer Bob Williams shot the 2023 Block Party on assignment for The Chronicle, Springfield's hometown newspaper — and he brought a journalist's instinct for the real story. Where hugs were shared, swords were thrown, where proud Springfieldians posed with each other. Bob captured a Springfield that showed up for itself, truly for the 1st time in a closed-down Main Street on a September Friday night.
